JackLucy creates Urban Folk:

Music that combines traditional acoustic folk instrumentation and soulful vocals with heavier, hip-hop inspired rhythms.

Short Biography:

JackLucy is a Pittsburgh-bred, New York City-based urban folk singer/songwriter. Accompanied by her percussive guitar style and thoughtful lyrics, JackLucy produces a show that captivates. She draws on the influence of many, ranging from Nina Simone and Jimi Hendrix, to Sam Cooke and Lauryn Hill. Throughout her career, JackLucy has performed in venues all over the world.  She is currently working on her third EP, to be released in late summer of 2016. 

This song came at a moment when I could finally see through my situation of growing up without a father and was able to forgive and move forward.
