Zebulon Krol is a rising artist from Steamboat Springs, CO, sharing his expression of "funk from deep space with the world, like a neon colored dance party at lightspeed."
After years of touring with various bands, producing, and DJing nightclubs across the country, Zeb has combined all of his talents into one powerful expression of retro dance beats filled with positivity, desire and love. Upon assigning his own name as a moniker, Zeb dedicated his sound to the music that first inspired him in his youth: Michael Jackson, Wu-Tang, and Prince. Drawing even more inspiration from Jay-Z and Daft Punk, Zeb has an ear for great production, and has produced for the likes of Dr. Dre, Passion Pit, and Victoria Van Dam.
Zeb spent the past year writing in the mountains of Colorado, and he is now back in L.A. recording his first solo EP. An explorer who was lead down the path of music two decades ago, Zeb produces work with a rare meticulousness that resulted from his journey through love, travel, therapy, and a range of genres including punk, ballet, Americana, and pop.
While studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Zeb formed a synth pop band with his collaborative partner, Anthony Baldino. Following years of creating, from a ballet about the struggles of body image, to forming countless bands that recorded, toured and eventually broke up, Zeb developed a style that placed melody above all else. He says that, “writing a great song is like falling in love; it chooses you.”
Combining his singer-songwriter and DJ-production mastery together as one, Zebulon Krol is the voice, the instruments, and the man behind the curtain. Zeb has released four original songs on SoundCloud, comprising of over 35,000 plays, in which he sings, produces, and plays all the instruments on each recording. More tracks are set to release throughout this year with his highly anticipated debut album, "True North," on the horizon for 2018. Stay tuned by following Zeb on SoundCloud, Spotify, Instagram and Facebook.
